Angel-Millie

Thank you all for your support, thoughts and prayers. Sadly Millie passed on this morning (Wed) at 10:00am.

She went peacefully and quietly. Thank god for that small blessing. She will be extremely missed around here.

What a beautiful soul.

Rest in Peace Millie-Moo...you were a very loved girl.

I am so sorry for this wonderful family. She knew much love in the 3 months they had her.

I don't believe I knew Millie, but am so sorry for the family's loss!

Please let the Chow family know how sorry I am for their pain, but also how thrilled we have all been to see the pure love they gave to Millie since the day she arrived.
I don't think any of us could have asked for a better home for her and we are so grateful that she finally found the happiness she so deserved. Joani

This just makes me sick. I am sitting at my desk in tears. I am so sad and devasted for this wonderful family that gave her so much love in her final months.

To the Chow Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. We are mourning as well. We meet many families along the way in rescue. Some come and look our dogs over like a new piece of furniture. We worry about the dog and pray for the best, hoping it will be a loving home. But families like yourself are the unique ones that keep us wanting to do rescue. It was torture for the volunteers to see Millie being passed on by every weekend. You helped renew hope to so many of us that there are true angels among us. I will never understand why Millie had to go so soon when she finally was home! I guess there are bigger plans for her up in heaven.
I hope your children will know that animals do not know time and for sweet Millie, she was with you and will be with you forever.
God Bless you Chow family. Millie will be a dog we will never forget! You will be a family we will always cherish

Chantelle,
Please forward to the Chow family for me. Thanks.

I am a long time volunteer for BRLA. As such, Millie was well known to me and no one was happier when she landed in such a perfect family. I loved your updates as well as your "Millie Moo" name.
I know how devastated you are, I purposely adopt the seniors or special medical needs dogs, always knowing their time with me may be very short. I currently have 4 between 8 and 10.
I know I'm not telling you anything, but dogs live in the moment. I am very sure that all of Millie's memories were of her last three months. That being, they were all of love and happiness.
Even if you knew your time with Millie would only be 3 months, but you knew how it would effect her life, I'm sure your decision would be the same.
After you've healed a bit and in honor of Millie, I hope you can find it in your large hearts to give your love and life to another orphan.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I am choking on my sobs right now. I don’t think there was EVER a family who was more excited to get their dog nor one that was loved as much as she. I am so sad that Millie has passed after only knowing such love and devotion for only 3 months and yet this is also what makes me feel better. God bless you Chow family for loving Millie the way you did and for being such an inspiration to all of us in the rescue world. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Chow Family,

As you can see by the many posts, Millie was a very loved and special soul. You cannot believe the elation we all felt, when all of a sudden there was a family who just had to have her.

She waited many years for her forever home, in the end although it was only 3 months, it was the only forever home she had ever known.

One where she was doted on day in and day out, one where she knew unconditional love like she had never known before.

Bless your family for opening up your hearts and home to this very special girl. You got the joy of giving this girl the best 3 months of her life. She got the joy of enjoying the love of a real family.

All of our hearts are aching for you and your family. Thank you so very much for taking such great care of one who was so dear to all of our hearts.

With Tears,
